When packing a school lunch, you want it to be four things: fast, easy, healthy, and delicious. Seems simple enough, right? The problem is, that it’s easy to skimp on one for the other. For instance, you could send your kiddos away with a prepackaged lunch that’s chock full of preservatives and ingredients you can’t pronounce. Fast and easy? Sure. Healthy and delicious? Doubtful. Here are some healthy snack and lunch ideas for kids to make your morning hustle easier.
Start with a good ol’ fashioned PB&J. Two slices of Udi’s Gluten Free Whole Grain Bread, a jar of Justin’s Nut Butter (honey peanut butter is our fav), and a pouch of GoGo squeeZ AppleGrape will yield a PB&J that you AND the kids feel great about.
Next, we’re going to need a solid side dish. Our friends at Wholly Guacamole recently released four varieties of 100 Calorie Minis, perfectly sized travel cups of their awesome avocado concoctions. Throw in some Late July Organic Tortilla Chips for a healthy whole grain dipper.
Round off lunch with a few slices of broccoli and a GoGo squeeZ, because fruits and veggies are a must. Remember to include something to wash it all down. We highly recommend with a delicious juice by Purity Organic (try the lemonade, it’s ridiculous).
